Instructions
Boil penne in salted water until al dente.
Heat olive oil in a skillet. Add sliced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté gently until garlic is golden.
Add crushed tomatoes and salt. Simmer for 15 minutes until sauce thickens and oil separates.
Toss cooked pasta into the sauce. Garnish with parsley and serve.
Notes
Slice the garlic instead of mincing to prevent burning.
