Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup saltine cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cans (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix ground beef, cracker crumbs, milk, egg, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 6 oval patties.
  • Brown the patties in a skillet over medium-high heat (3 mins per side). Transfer to a baking dish.
  • In the same skillet, sauté onions and mushrooms until soft. Stir in soup and Worcestershire sauce. Scrape up browned bits.
  • Pour the gravy over the patties. Cover with foil and bake for 30-40 minutes until bubbly and hot.

Notes

Sear the patties well before baking to develop maximum flavor. Serve over mashed potatoes.
