Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 loaf baguette, sliced
  • 8 oz goat cheese or cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme
  • 1 tbsp honey (for drizzling)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix brown sugar, pepper, and cayenne. Coat bacon strips in the mixture.
  • Bake bacon on a rack or foil-lined sheet for 20-25 minutes until crispy. Let cool completely, then chop.
  • Brush baguette slices with oil and toast in the oven for 5 minutes.
  • Whip goat cheese with thyme. Spread onto toasted baguette slices.
  • Top with chopped candied bacon and drizzle with honey.
