- 8 slices thick-cut bacon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 loaf baguette, sliced
- 8 oz goat cheese or cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme
- 1 tbsp honey (for drizzling)
Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix brown sugar, pepper, and cayenne. Coat bacon strips in the mixture.
Bake bacon on a rack or foil-lined sheet for 20-25 minutes until crispy. Let cool completely, then chop.
