- 1 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 0.5 cup white sugar
- 2 large eggs, cold
- 1.5 cups cake flour
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 2.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line baking sheet.
Beat cold butter chunks with sugars until combined but still chunky (1-2 mins).
Add eggs and mix briefly.
Stir in flours, cornstarch, soda, and salt until shaggy dough forms.
Fold in chocolate chunks.
Form 8 large, rough balls. Freeze on sheet for 15 minutes.
