Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs, cold
  • 1.5 cups cake flour
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line baking sheet.
  • Beat cold butter chunks with sugars until combined but still chunky (1-2 mins).
  • Add eggs and mix briefly.
  • Stir in flours, cornstarch, soda, and salt until shaggy dough forms.
  • Fold in chocolate chunks.
  • Form 8 large, rough balls. Freeze on sheet for 15 minutes.
  • Bake directly from freezer for 10-12 minutes. Cool on sheet.
