Serves 4
Ingredients
1 package of frozen hash browns, thawed
1 pound of ground meat (beef, pork, or a combination of the two)
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup of milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
Instructions
1.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large bowl, combine hash browns, ground meat, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
2.
In a separate bowl, mix shredded cheese, milk, and egg until well combined. Add this mixture to the bowl with the meat mixture and mix until everything is well incorporated.
3.
Use a cookie scoop or a spoon to divide the mixture into small balls, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Flatten each ball slightly into a disk shape.
4.
Place the disks onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving about 1 inch of space between each disk. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Storage Tip: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
