Yield:

Ingredients

1.5 lbs Steak (Ribeye or Strip)

2-3 large Potatoes

1/4 cup unsalted Butter, softened

3 cloves of Garlic, minced

1 tsp dried Thyme

Salt and Pepper to taste

2 tbsp Olive Oil

Fresh Parsley, chopped (optional)

Directions

1
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Meanwhile, prepare the garlic butter by mixing the softened butter with minced garlic and dried thyme. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

2
Peel the potatoes and cut them into wedges or your preferred shape. Rinse them in cold water to remove excess starch, then pat them dry with paper towels.

3
Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until a nice crust forms. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.

4
Add the potatoes to the skillet, tossing them gently to coat with the remaining oil. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until they start to brown, then add the garlic butter on top of the potatoes.

5
Return the steak to the skillet and place it in the preheated oven. Cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the steak reaches your desired level of doneness and the potatoes are golden brown. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving with the potatoes.

Storage & Reheating

Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For reheating, simply place the steak and potatoes in the oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 10 minutes, or until warmed through. Alternatively, you can reheat them in a skillet over medium heat, adding a bit of oil if necessary.
