But what makes this recipe truly special is the combination of flavors and techniques that come together to create a dish that’s both elegant and approachable. Just like our popular Famous Cocktail Meatballs Grape Jelly Sauce, this recipe is perfect for entertaining or a quick weeknight dinner.

Why This Recipe Works

  • The combination of ground meats creates a tender and juicy meatball that’s full of flavor.
  • The use of grape jelly in the sauce adds a sweet and tangy element that complements the savory meatballs perfectly.
  • The technique of simmering the meatballs in the sauce allows them to absorb all the flavors and become incredibly tender.

Key Ingredients

When it comes to making the perfect meatballs, it’s all about the quality of the ingredients. Look for ground meats that are high in fat, as they will be more tender and juicy. And don’t be afraid to experiment with different types of cheese and spices to find the combination that you like best. In addition to the meat and cheese, the grape jelly sauce is a key component of this recipe. Look for a high-quality jelly that’s made with real grapes and doesn’t contain any artificial preservatives or flavorings.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1 egg

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

1/2 cup grape jelly

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together with your hands or a wooden spoon until just combined.

2
Use your hands to shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm) in diameter. You should end up with around 20-25 meatballs.

3
Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with a little bit of oil and gently roll them around to coat evenly.

4
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until cooked through.

5
While the meatballs are baking, heat the grape jelly, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the jelly has melted. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.

Storage & Reheating

These meatballs can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months. To reheat, simply place the meatballs in the grape jelly sauce and simmer over low heat until warmed through. Serve hot and enjoy!
