Description
Easy honey garlic chicken is crispy, juicy, and coated in a sticky, sweet-salty glaze. A perfect 20-minute dinner bursting with flavor.
Ingredients
½ lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 tbsp cornstarch
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
6 cloves garlic, minced
⅓ cup honey
2 tbsp soy sauce (use tamari for gluten-free)
1 tbsp rice vinegar
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tbsp green onions, sliced
1 tsp sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
1. Pat dry the chicken and toss it with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Cook chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
4. Remove chicken and set aside.
5. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds.
6. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar; simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
7. Return chicken to the pan and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
8. Let the sauce reduce until glossy and sticky.
9. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
Add chili paste or sriracha for a spicy version.
Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness.
Serve with rice or noodles for a full meal.
Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days.
