Yield:
4 Servings

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

6 slices of bacon, crumbled

1/2 cup caramelized onion, cooked

1 cup puff pastry, thawed

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp chopped fresh chives

Directions

1
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). On a lightly floured surface, roll out puff pastry to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

2
In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks. Drain the bacon on paper towels.

3
In the same skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks. Drain excess fat.

4
Assemble the pie by spreading the ground beef mixture over the center of the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Sprinkle the cheese mixture, bacon, caramelized onion, and chopped parsley over the beef mixture.

5
Brush the edges of the pastry with the egg wash and fold the edges of the pastry over the filling to seal the pie. Brush the top of the pie with additional egg wash and make a few slits in the top crust to let steam escape.

Storage & Reheating

To store leftovers, let the pie cool completely before refrigerating or freezing. Simply reheat the pie in the oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 10-15 minutes or until warm and toasty.
