Ingredients
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 large chicken breasts
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 medium onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 cup chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
1. Cut chicken breasts in half lengthwise and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Cook chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
4. Sauté onions for 5 minutes until soft, then add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
5. Add chicken broth, cream cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir until smooth.
6. Return chicken to the skillet and simmer to coat with sauce.
7. Garnish with parsley and serve warm over rice or pasta.
Notes
Use softened cream cheese for smooth sauce texture.
Add spinach, mushrooms, or sun-dried tomatoes for variety.
Serve with rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes for a full meal.
Adjust spice by adding more or fewer red pepper flakes.
