- 4 large chicken breasts
- 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup plain bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut chicken into strips or leave whole.
- Dip chicken in milk, then dredge in bread crumb mixture with salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
- Press chicken into grated cheddar to coat.
- Place coated chicken in baking dish.
- Drizzle melted butter over the chicken.
- Bake 25–30 minutes until golden and cooked through (165°F).
- Let rest 5 minutes before serving, garnish with parsley.
Notes
Use panko bread crumbs for extra crunch. Assemble ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours before baking.
