Description

Cheddar Crusted Chicken combines tender chicken breasts, sharp cheddar cheese, and a crispy crumb coating baked to golden perfection.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large chicken breasts
  • 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut chicken into strips or leave whole.
  3. Dip chicken in milk, then dredge in bread crumb mixture with salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
  4. Press chicken into grated cheddar to coat.
  5. Place coated chicken in baking dish.
  6. Drizzle melted butter over the chicken.
  7. Bake 25–30 minutes until golden and cooked through (165°F).
  8. Let rest 5 minutes before serving, garnish with parsley.

Notes

Use panko bread crumbs for extra crunch. Assemble ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours before baking.
