12 oz mixed mushrooms (button, cremini, shiitake), stems removed and sliced
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup chopped scallions (green onions), thinly sliced
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes, until they release their liquid and start browning.

Stir in thyme and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
