Ingredients

  • 12 oz mixed mushrooms (button, cremini, shiitake), stems removed and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions (green onions), thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes, until they release their liquid and start browning.

Stir in thyme and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer the mushrooms to a serving platter or individual plates. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if using.
