Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 ounces pasta of your choice
Instructions
1.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining the spaghetti.
2.
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
3.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet and melt. Add the broccoli to the skillet and cook until tender, about 3-5 minutes.
4.
Stir in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer. Let cook for 2-3 minutes or until slightly thickened. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
5.
Add the cooked pasta and reserved pasta water to the skillet with the broccoli and creamy sauce. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated.
Storage Tip: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat gently over low heat, adding pasta water if necessary to restore creaminess.
